To promote the new vampire movie Daybreakers, actors were hired to stage fake vampire attacks in several prominent Auckland locations, including the Viaduct, Auckland University, Sky City Casino, Aotea Square, and IMAX cinemas.

Several watchers were surprised and shocked to see the bloody attacks, but shock soon turned to laughter as the 'vampires' and 'victims' played up their roles in a camp manner reminiscent of classic vampire films. They then proceeded to hand out flyers advertising the movie, released in cinemas 15 April 2010.
